are proud to host the Fifth Annual Career Day!

This is a great opportunity to meet and speak with successful Brooklyn Tech alumni working in fields like engineering, law, medicine, dentistry, new media, public service, finance, and more. Last year we drew over 600 Technites with well over 80 presenters. Many students had a chance to connect with past alumni and learn more about potential career options. Several internships came as a result of the connections made at this event. The day will consist of opening ceremonies and two break out sessions

This years Career Day is October 15th, 2011. It will be even bigger than the first with increased participation by both alumni and the student body.

CAREER DAY KEYNOTE SPEAKER - JOHN PRAKASH ALBERT '90
John Prakash Albert 90' Counsel at the law firm of Manatt, Phelps and Phillips working with the Government and Regulatory practice group. John has worked as a lobbyist for more than a decade, having previously served as the Vice President of External Relations for The After-School Corporation (TASC) in New York and as the Senior Director of Government Affairs for Safe Horizon, Inc. (Victim Services, Inc.). John is former member of the Brooklyn Tech Alumni Foundation Board, serving as the Board's Secretary. John's current community involvement includes, founding Taking Our Seat, a non-profit focused on electoral access and serving as Board member at New Destiny Housing Corporation, a builder of affordable housing for survivors of violence. John earned his BA from the University at Albany and his JD from Albany Law School. John is married to Kavita Thekkakara and they have two children, Vimala, age 4 and Jeevan, 20 months.
